Memoirs of a Deranged Young Man, by Frederic Beigbeder
Frederic Beigbeder's novel is one that is strictly written to a certain typed of people and will be strongly rejected from those that don't fit this type. The novel is written for open-minded people. The story takes place all around Europe and is successful in preserving the continent's spirit. The novel somehow joins the spiritual and the everyday life. In 24 hours the main character may experience the love of his life and the strangest most disgusting hangover. The topics that are concerned are connected to alcohol and drugs. If you liked it you may also like 9.99 and Love Lasts 3 Years.

I love Beigbeder and I also love the books Laska recommends to me. We have a somewhat similar taste in literature, so I will probably read the book as soon as I can get it.
