Recommended by Ms. Potash: Anne of Green Gables

The story of a young orphan adopted by an older couple in rural Canada, this is one of my very favorite books of all time. One of the best things about it is that it's only the first in a long series: Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of Windy Poplars, Anne of the Island, Anne's House of Dreams, Rainbow Valley, and Rilla of Ingleside. Phew! So you have a lot of fun ahead of you if you like Anne. I would especially recommend this book to teenage girls, who will probably identify with Anne the most.

  1. I am reading it at the moment and so far, I can say that I enjoy it. It's theme is more diffrent than from those in the books I usually read, so I am glad I changed styles.

  2. I read Anne of Green Gables a few months ago and it was brilliant. Anne is so funny and ridiculous and heart-breakingly sweet at the same time, that I just could not help but like her.
